Writer-Traveller François Beaune presents his amazing adventure:
 "True Tales" at AUP:
        Wednesday, November 21, 2012
        3:15pm

6, rue du Colonel Combes (C-13)

Help French writer François Beaune to collect and translate true stories from all around the Mediterranean -- or just learn more about this fascinating project, of which AUP will become a part.

With support teams based in Marseille and correspondents in each city, Beaune is collecting stories of people in 13 port cities in 13 countries:

From December 2011 to January 2013, he has been spending one month in each of the following cities: Barcelona, Tangier, Alger, Tunis, Benghazi, Alexandria, Haifa, Ramallah, Beirut, Latakia, Izmir, Athens, Palermo and, finally, Marseille.

The American University of Paris has become a partner of this exciting multileveled, multidisciplinary and international endeavor: In the current uncertain geopolitical context, these true tales will form an authentic and original portrait of Mediterranean peoples today.

If you speak Arabic, Spanish, Greek, Turkish, Hebrew, French, or Italian,
you can take part by translating your favorite tales into English, and get published.

But you can also contribute tales yourself, or collect others’ stories.

Or you could participate as an artist, transform a tale or two into a play, a video, a poem, etc., and participate in the Marseilles 2013 shows & celebrations.
